European Day of Languages (Monday, September 26, 2016)
On the 26 September 2016 this school held a project day within the European Day of Languages. In various subjects, there were inputs related to foreign languages.
English lessons focused on some of the language varieties in English speaking countries.
In Chemistry and Biology classes, students learned how to describe the human body in English and were familiarized with the Anglo-American periodic table of elements.
One whole Geography lesson was performed in English.
Furthermore, in Social Sciences and History students found out about linguistic theories and the history of language itself.
The Czech Language and Literature lesson was devoted to different Czech translations of renowned European poets' works and their comparisons with the original texts.
The German lesson gave our students a chance of completing a quiz aimed at German-speaking countries’ life and institutions while those who learn Spanish had the opportunity to learn about different varieties of that language spoken both in Europe and Latin America.
Finally, in Physics and IT classes students were aquainted with the basic terminology of the particular subjects.

Evropský den jazyků (pondělí 26. září 2016)
Dne 26. září 2016 pořádala naše škola u příležitosti Dne evropských jazyků projektový den, kdy se v jeho rámci v jednotlivých předmětech objevily vstupy, které byly pokaždé spojeny s určitým cizím jazykem.
Hodina angličtiny byla zaměřena na vybrané variety tohoto jazyka v anglicky mluvících zemích.
V hodinách chemie a biologie popisovali studenti anglicky lidské tělo a seznámili se s anglo-americkou verzí periodické soustavy prvků.
Jedna hodina zeměpisu probíhala ryze v anglickém jazyce.
V předmětech základy společenských věd a dějepis byli studenti seznámeni s lingvistickými teoriemi a vývojem jazyka obecně.
V jazyce českém a literatuře pak byly srovnávány překlady významných evropských básníků s originály.
Dále si v jazyce německém studenti zkusili vyplnit kvíz týkající se reálií německy mluvících zemí.
Ve španělštině se studenti seznámili s varietami tohoto jazyka v Latinské Americe.
Konečně ve fyzice a informatice byla studentům formou kvízu představena základní anglická terminologie daného předmětu.
